The process usually takes just a few weeks from start to finish and may look like this:

• Customer contacts Mace Energy - for a free, no obligation survey.
• Survey carried out – we will advise you on the suitability of your property and may advise you have an independent structural survey if your roof is old or unusual in its design if solar is your preferred choice.
• System is designed – our engineers will design the best system for your needs.
• System is fitted – this may take 1-2 days for a residential installation. A solar PV system will include a small inverter and a small meter unit. A solar thermal system will include a replacement hot water cylinder. Ground or air source systems will be chosen to suite the space available.
• Customer contacts electricity provider – if you have chosen solar PV, you can now sign up to the Feed In Tariff with your provider.
